11/22/2025 - I finally bought a new laptop. It is still in its box, I haven't set it up yet.
12/12/2025 - So I opened it up, and the RAM chips that I bought, and it turns out that the RAM chips are the wrong type. I wouldn't have known that from the packaging, it doesn't say that it's desktop RAM and the packaging isn't transparent. When I opened them up, when I opened up the packaging for the RAM chips it was something kind of obvious that they were too large. When I researched the UPC for the item, the first thing it says is DESKTOP RAM. This is really annoying. I've been holding out on buying a laptop since 2023 and I finally bought one, but I've also been looking since the Spring of 2025.
12/13/2025 - Today I went back to the retailer and returned the RAM chips. I thought I would just do an exchange.
1/5/2026 - I tried to buy more RAM chips the other day for my laptop, but they were out of stock of the ones I wanted to buy. I was even willing to pay the exorbitant price for a 64 GB kit, but they didn't have any over at Best Buy. I don't know what to do, it isn't even really a priority, and I'm not totally sure I need them.
