I'm trying to write but it's so easy
to get distracted by browsing Netflix
or YouTube, change my music to Weezy
from Weezer or change the Pandora mix.
Why can't I write like those people who clack
away at the keyboard and get a bunch
of stuff written, who can get a whole stack
of poems or stories written by lunch.
I'm sure it's just a matter of practice
ten thousand hours to make things perfect
they can get writings done at about twice
the speed that I can and to that affect
get their poems published they have their
books and they have their published writer's air.
