The Adventures of Chestnut + Hazel # 53

I went to the grocery store, and had probably the lowest cost grocery bill in the universe, and it's not because prices were low, it's because I was astonished how much prices increased: Ramen noodles and canned soups were 300% higher than they were before. I didn't have time to shop around so I just paid it, but, only 2 packs of ramen noodles and 1 can of canned soup. 1.28 dollars total.

Should have been .32 dollars total! I'm furious! anyone eating ramen noodles and canned soup is price sensitive, so, it's not really possible to sneak a 300% price increase passed me. It might have something to do with wheat prices being elevated. This just occurred to me. and. I looked at the ramen noodle ingredient section and noticed that ramen noodles are made of wheat. so. there you go.

There was something that I was thinking about that just slipped my mind. I don't remember what it was exactly. It was interesting. I remember. I'm trying to get my budget back in line after the road trip that didn't really accomplish anything. I didn't spend anything unusual, or well, maybe I did. I didn't really spend too much, but I still spent enough that I need to get things back in line, plus, I wasn't working during those days either. but. I'm kind of in austerity mode right now, plus I'm not making a whole ton of money, my first semester at UNLV was a total disaster, and I'm not optimistic about this upcoming Fall semester. I'm going to need new tires soon, and an oil change.
