I'm on a road trip, and I've made it as far as Ely. I didn't really get many door dash orders this week from Monday to thursday, and then Friday, I basically slept the whole day so missed that day, Saturday wasn't really going well so I figured. I might ask well blow off the next few days.
For this road trip the goal is Boise, but I'm already wanting to head back home. I basically didn't bring anything with me. Not even a plug in phone charger. I'm having trouble falling asleep, which is a headache. I want to get something to eat but I don't think anything is open at this time. A few hours ago, at 1 am I went to Denny's and it was not open. I ended up eating at. Well. Getting food at a gas station.
Even though I want to head home, I also don't really want to head home either. Especially if work is going to be slow. One of the issues about door dashing is that, even though it requires a license and a commercial auto policy, those rules aren't really enforced, so people from out of state are always door dashing in Las Vegas. With independence day coming up my guess is that a lot of people from out of town will be paying for their last Vegas vacations with their last Vegas door dash money.
So. I might as well take a vacation myself. I didn't bring my computer, and I didn't even bring a plug in phone charger. I think I'll continue the road trip. I'm thinking Boise, then continue north through Idaho, cross into Washington then come down through Oregon, northern California then back to Vegas through Reno.
